Upper Nehalem Watershed Council

WELCOME TO THE UPPER NEHALEM VALLEY

What is a watershed? It is an area of land over which water flows to join rivers, lakes, or seas. The health of the watershed is important and impacts our water, our wildlife, and our communities.

The Upper Nehalem Watershed Council works to foster stewardship and understanding of the natural resources of the Upper Nehalem Watershed among the stakeholders of the watershed communities in order to protect, conserve, restore and sustain the health and functions of the watershed.

WHAT'S HAPPENING THESE DAYS

We are excited to embark on new work this summer with the Warner Creek and Anchor Habitat Enhancement projects. Both seek to expand stream complexity and habitat through large wood placement, and building beaver dam analogues in high priority reaches. Learn more by clicking here.
